Why are the lengths of corrugated cardboard cut out inconsistent?

Feb 09, 2026 Leave a message

The accuracy of the length of corrugated cardboard is very important. If the lengths of the cardboard are inconsistent, it will affect the production size of the carton and also the production cost of the cardboard.

Reason analysis:

(1) The speed of the drying is unstable.

(2) There are paper fibers or damaged gears between the cross-cutting knife gears, or the bearings are damaged.

(3) The running resistance of the single facer on the bridge is too large.

(4) The braking tension of the face paper is too large.

(5) The conveyor belt of the drying slips.

(6) The stepless speed change gears of the cross-cutting machine have excessive clearance or the rotating chain is aged and loose; the cross-cutting control program is disorderly and is interfered by a strong magnetic field.

Solution methods:

(1) Check if the main motor of the drying is phase missing, if the voltage is stable, and if the bearings are damaged.

(2) Eliminate the paper debris between the rotating gears of the cross-cutting knife, and replace the gears and bearings.

(3) Add lubricating oil to the rotating parts of the bridge guide paper roller that is not flexible, replace the bearings, and appropriately adjust the vacuum suction air volume of the single-sided paper.

(4) Reduce the braking force of the face paper.

(5) Regularly clean the conveyor belt of the drying and keep the hot plate of the drying clean. When the conveyor belt slips during production, spraying a small amount of water on it can alleviate the problem. Try to avoid leaving the drying idle without paper to reduce direct friction between the conveyor belt and the hot plate. Otherwise, the rough surface of the conveyor belt will be flattened, easily causing slipping.

(6) Correct the clearance between the five-level speed change gears, replace the new chain or appropriately adjust the chain, tighten the device, and exclude the interference of a strong magnetic field.
